Description of Works
North Shore Paving was contracted by Hansen Yuncken to undertake upgrades to the civil infrastructure associated with the Cabarita Wharf Upgrade. The works were completed in 2 stages: Stage 1 involved the widening of the wharf loop road, upgrades to the Cabarita Wharf car park and new car spaces within Cabarita Park. Stage 2 involved the expansion of the Cabarita Wharf car park including the construction of retaining walls, full depth asphalt pavement and landscaping.
Key Features
- Retaining wall construction - block with steel reinforcement, large sandstone block wall and small sandstone block wall
- Road widening with full depth asphalt pavement and kerbs (kerb and gutter & rolled kerb)
- Accessibility upgrades to the car park
- Landscaping - including turfing and mass planting
- New car spaces within Cabarita Park - multiple small concrete slabs
